MAKE THEM COUNT

By Brandon Pieterse

You know those workouts… the ones where everything leading up to it has been perfect. You had a really good eight hours sleep the night before. You have hit all your meals and macros, so you are fuelled for an intense workout. You drink your pre-workout, caffeine is flowing, skin is tingling and you know that you are about to absolutely crush every aspect of your workout. These are the workouts we all love; we leave the gym feeling super pumped, endorphins are running high, everything is good!

On the other side of the scale, are the other workouts…

Stress levels are through the roof. Rubbish nights sleep – less than six hours with countless disruptions. Missed a meal or two. Physically and mentally you can’t be bothered to go to the gym because you would much rather head home, watch some netflix and eat a whole tub of Ben and Jerry’s.

These are the workouts that count the most! 90% of people will throw in the towel, say it’s too hard and go home to eat that tub of ice cream. That’s why you should NOT give up! Grab the towel, wipe the sweat off your face, and train as hard as you possible can because that workout will count more than the one that’s easy.
